“If you are too busy to spend time with your children, then you are busier than (God) intended you to be.” – Rabbi Mendel Epstein

Our time is a precious and finite resource, under constant pressure from a multitude of concerns. Whenever we spend time doing something, we deny ourselves the opportunity to do something else, and so we need to weigh up whether the cost of this lost opportunity is worth bearing. This fundamental economic principle, known as ‘opportunity cost’, is just as valid in the micro-economies of our lives as in the world of commerce.
